CBPS@25 I Role of Independent Institutions in Public Discourse and Delivery – A Panel Discussion "


In an engaging panel discussion, lead speakers from the four themes – Public Finance, Education as a Public Good, Health and Social Security, and Gender and Public Space – that included Avani Kapur from Accountability Initiative at Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi; Rohit Dhankar from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru and Founder-Secretary, Digantar, Jaipur; Srinath Reddy, Founder and Past President and Honorary Distinguished Professor, Public Health Foundation of India and Former Head of Cardiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and Mrs. Sarojini Ganju Thakur, IAS (Retd.), and currently Chairperson, Indian Institute of Social Studies Trust, New Delhi, engage in a thought-provoking conversation on the challenges and opportunities surrounding institutions, public policy, and academia.

The panelists share their insights on critical themes such as the vulnerability of independent institutions, the importance of multidisciplinary learning, and the need for community participation.
